Lauriston Farm can announce that this afternoon they reached the funding milestone of receiving pledges for £20,000 worth of community shares in their Charitable Community Benefit Society.

This qualifies the team at Lauriston for maximum  Just Growth Programme match funding which triples this amount.

All those involved at the farm give a huge "thank you" to each one of the seventy nine individuals now becoming members in the newly formed Society as well as the Just Growth Programme and Crowdfunder UK for all their support.

Farm Director, Spencer Christy, commented, "This is an amazing day for the farm, this area of Essex, the honey bees, the farm's soil and all the wildlife that make this farm their home.  We have taken the first step in implementing our Social Farming Initiative which aims to offer adults with learning difficulties daily life experiences on the farm."

The Community Share Offer now moves into it's final phase with an additional £15,000 worth of shares available to fund capital works and complete the membership body of warmth around the Society by May 24th 2017.  The Team's commitment is strong to achieve this saying, "the local interest and support has been amazing and we will continue our hard work in spreading the word so people can join this pioneering project for the Blackwater Estuary in Essex."
