Educational Farm Walks
Lauriston Farm is situated on the Blackwater Estuary just outside Goldhanger in Essex. It is a 220 acre holding with full Biodynamic status and rare breed cattle and sheep, bee hives, laying hens, vegetables and woodland.
Ninety five percent of the farm is designated as a Site of Special Scientific Interest. Within this, there are also two listed ancient monuments dating back over two thousand years.
We take great pride in showing people around with a typical tour lasts for about two hours. There is a short introductory talk, followed by a relaxed and enjoyable walk to see the animals, vegetable gardens and craft rooms.
The charge for this is £6 per person plus £15, should you wish to stay on for a two course farm-cooked lunch.
Planned walks 2026
Dates:
Should you wish to organise a farm walk for a group we are happy to take bookings and can offer these walks all year, every day of the week except Sundays. All the walks need to be pre-booked with a minimum of 10 participants. We look forward to hearing from you.
