 Winter Workshops 2024/25.
Winter 2025/2026 dates to follow

​Come to our beautiful farm and enjoy learning new skills at a Saturday workshop.
The workshops include a delicious vegetarian lunch of soup and homemade cake, made in our farm kitchen with produce from the garden.

Nov 9 - Berry Pruning
Join our expert Horticulturist Andre Kleinjans in the vegetable garden and learn how to correctly prune berry bushes for a healthy plant and to maximise fruit production.
10-2   Cost £45

Nov 30 - Winter Wreath Making
Learn how to make  a beautiful winter wreath using natural items found on the farm - no plastic, glitter or baubles ! Led by Monique Penning, an experienced grower and maker of beautiful flower displays

Dec 14 - Restoration of Mature and Veteran Fruit Trees
With Dr Anna Baldwin, founder member of the Essex Orchard Group and one of the region's experienced pruning trainers. The emphasis will be on the pruning and care of mature apple trees with assessment of what is required now and make a plan for future years. This workshop is ideal for anyone who has older and veteran trees which need restoration.

Jan 18 - Introduction to Crochet
Using knitting wool from our rare breed North Ronaldsay Sheep, learn the basics of this very popular skill and start making your own beautiful items.
10-2 Cost £45

Feb 15 - Birdwatching and Sea Wall Walk
Join barge skipper, nature lover and keen birder, Paul Jeffries to learn about our very special winter bird visitors and the history of marshland life. Assisted by Niels Walter, the farms resident bird enthusiast.
