KNACK OF THE TURNING SOCK KNITTING WORKSHOP
Saturday, 30th November 2019 4 - 6pm
With the nights drawing in and the temperatures dropping, it's time to turn our attention inwards and embrace a little hygge at our sock knitting workshop in November. The workshop is very kindly being run by Maike Windhorst, a farm member, and ties in with #Wovember, November's month long celebration of wool.
Using our beautiful Aran yarn from our Ronaldsay flock, learn how to knit socks in our hands-on friendly workshop and begin your journey making your own clothes from natural products. All yarn and equipment will be provided, along with worksheets. Basic knitting skills are useful, but not essential. For those who don't feel confident enough to join in, simply come along and watch. Friends and family are very welcome.
Hot drinks and biscuits will be provided. A donation to the farm to cover the cost of refreshments and the workshop would be appreciated.
To book your place simply email [email protected] or call 01621 788348.
